CRM 4.0 Workflow for Expiring contracts RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I use contracts frequently for our customers since we offer services that expire in 6 month or 1 year periods. I wanted to create a workflow that will review all active contracts and send an alert 1 week before the contract expires. Is there any way I can do this?

  • Hi Marilyn,

    just create one workflow against contract which should run when contract status gets changed ..and then add following steps

    1. first check if contract status Equal Active
    2. then now add stage -> Wait Condition
    3. Open the wait condition and add Workflow Timeout Equal <<7 days before contractenddate>>
    4. To select <<7 days before contractenddate>> you need to put 7 in days column in dynamic values and select contract end date as Look For
    5. then Send Reminder email to user...

    Hope this helps

  • YOu can create a wait condition on the workflow and this wait condition can wait till "expireon" date.
    once the wait condition is finished send the alert by email or other activity.

  • Create a workflow on Contracts when a record is created.

    Now add a wait condition with following values in drop downs

    Workflow--> Timeout-->Equals-->{Months:6 Before Contract End Date}

    Now you could check whether contract is active or not. If it is, you can create a task or email.

    Thanks
