What Case would you recommend? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • So I have decided on my setup, now all I need is to decide on a case.  I can't decide whether to go with a small mid or micro tower, a microITX tower such as this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133045, or a normal mid tower such a Thermaltake Tsunami.

What are some cases you would recommend?

  • Personally, I'm getting the Thermaltake Armor+ VH6000BWS because I want a full tower.

Buy what you think you will need, but I would recommend bigger rather than smaller - more room to grow if it becomes necessary.

  • I agree that for a server bigger is better as long as its resting point isnt a factor. Large cases have room for larger quieter fans and more hdd's.

  • If you don't mind a large case, the Coolermaster Stacker STC-101 is what I use for both my main computer and my WHS. Specs are very high with class leading cooling options and 11 bays for hard drives (I'm using 8 at present).

  • I'm using an Antec 300 case.  it's cheap, good cooling, and 6+ HDD space (6 HDD plus a potential 3 5.25" bays)!
