After getting the "Invalid and/or Non-Genuine" message, I decided to use the "Restore Tool". After having punched the F8 key multiple times, I got to the "Repair" screen. When I attempted to "repair" from a previous restore point, I noticed that there was an entry in between my last two restore points.
I know, for a fact that I did not create a restore point at that time (09/07/07 4:06:44 AM Install: Windows Update) because my machine was powered down and I had nothing pending and all of my Vista updates were current AND it was a day after my last power down.
What the heck is going on and how do I fix and/or get rid of it?
Any and all answers would be helpful. -- ML
