Windows Home Server Drive Pool RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I just added a 750 Gig External hard drive to my home server because the internal 750 is full.  I have added it to the pool and it shows that the pool is 1.3 TB but when I try to copy any files over it says there is no space.  The first 750 is full that why I added the second but it won't use it.  Is there something that I am doing wrong?  I look in the console and it says that it has balanced the pool but it still will not use it.  It's making me mad.  Other than this issue I love this thing.

    Thanks,
    Mark

  • Windows Home Server won't move files around arbitrarily, so it's likely that your system drive is still full. A user here in the forums has written a small utility called LZReallocator that will help to force your server to move files from that drive.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
