Need to get access to the database folder in windows live onecare to delete a chk file created by chkdsk. RRS feed

  • Question

  • There is a file in the windows live one care folder structure that wont defragment.  I ran chkdsk/f on the disk and it found a corrupt fragment that it turned into a chk file.  I want to go delete that file which should allow it to defragment but access is denied since windows live onecare is running.  The new windows live one care doesnt seem to have an off switch or a way to shut down the program which might allow me to get rid of this chk file.  It sounds anal, but the computer is a mini computer with only 7 gig hard drive with one gig free and I want that free space to be clean and contiguous.
