Hi I am facing a problem with Windows Genuine I am seeing a message below corner that this copy of windows is not genuine please guide

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
      - **in your own thread**, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine, but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

For some reason, your OS is unable to properly read the SLIC table in the BIOS, which is required for the OEM_SLP Key in use here to self-activate.
You need to change the Key to the one on the COA sticker on the machine’s case (or inside the battery compartment), using the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System properties page.
You may need to activate by telephone.

Please post a new MGADiag report when complete.

  • The OP doesn't even have to contact HP support to get the OEM SLP serial.

The OEM SLP serials are leaked all over the internet & can be easily found by Google searching.

Anyway, Here is the correct one for your manufacturer & the edition of Windows 7 that is on the system OP.

    DX8R9-BVCGB-PPKRR-8J7T4-TJHTH

OP go and see if there is newer BIOS update for your laptop model on the HP website.

If there is, update to it & just maybe it will fix the unreadable SLIC Table problem.

That Key is the one that is currently failing – did you not read the original post?
BIOA Updates do not not solve this problem – they do not usually contain the SLIC table (and the problem is usually in the OS anyhow, not the BIOS)

I have, however, had a report in the past week that attempting telephone activation and speaking to an operator can result in MS issuing a new Key to replace the broken one. I have not been able to confirm it, but it’s certainly worth a try. (note that the poster did not say whether they had to pay for it or not!)

    telephone activation.
    Click on the Start button
    in the Search box, type
    SLUI 4
    and hit the Enter key
follow the instructions - but when asked which service you require by the telephone ansafone, do NOT reply - this should force an operator to respond, who can deal with you.

If the OP gets no joy out of that, then their only option is going to be a Recovery to ex-factory state using the manufacturer’s recovery disks.
