  • Your Windows is not reading the SLIC table in the BIOS as required of OEM SLP copies of Windows.

BIOS valid for OA 2.0: yes, but no SLIC table

Find the OEM COA sticker on the case or in the battery compartment and copy the product key. Press WinKey + Pause/Break to bring up the System Properties page and scroll to the bottom. Click the Change Product Key link and enter the COA key to reactivate.

  • There is also a newer BIOS version for you laptop. The description is Firmware change. See here.

You could try & update to it & see if it fixes the SLIC problem. Or do as Carey said.

  • Once I download the BIOS it comes up with a zip file. The only options I have is to select from a program or check the internet. Is there an additional program I need to load the BIOS to my computer?

  • No extra program needed. Just unzip the archive & there should be an .exe in the folder. Double click and follow the instructions.

    And cross your fingers. lol
