not genuine

Question

i have had this problem 3 times already, i just reformatted last night, all i installed was drivers, and antivirus. windows was genuine, but as soon as i go to download some updates from MS, that i keep on an external drive, until i get a bunch then slipstream them so i dont have to download in the future, your validate windows tells me my os isnt activated, and behold i no longer have a genuine copy. now i find it weird that i activated it last night had the genuine logo this morning and checked it after i installed what i installed and still had it. apparently MS has some bugs to work out in the your validation software, but as a consumer who dropped 400 on windows vista ultimate this is getting old.

Can you tell me which drivers you installed? Are you getting messages that your hardware has changed?
To resolve, I suggest you reactivate by phone and revalidate. You can start phone activation by typing "slui.exe 4" into the search field in the Start Menu. You can revalidated by clicking "Validate Windows" here www.microsoft.com/genuine and going through the steps to validate.
Please let me know if you run into any snags. Thanks!

Hmm... that's very strange. Would you please submit a free service request by visiting: https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?c1=509&gprid=9860& and post your confirmation number here. That way I can contact you directly so we can figure out the cause of your issue. Thank you!Wednesday, April 4, 2007 12:09 AM

You'll need to phone activate before you revalidate. The last activation I can see on record for you is on March 4, 2007.
Can you confirm for me that you've successsfully phone activated since then?
