Configuration Wizard Error - Microsoft Outlook Was Not Initialized RRS feed

  • Although I have successfully installed CRM on a number of machines I am having issues with one user.

    CRM has successfully installed but when I try and run the configuration wizard I get the following message.....

    "Microsoft Outlook was not initialized. Please run Outlook and configure your account".

    The users mail account / profile is set up and working correctly. I have deleted and rebuilt the profile and re-installed CRM but it still does not work.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    O/S: XP SP3
    Office: 2007 SP2
    CRM: CRM 4.0 (Rollup 10)

  • Sounds like profile corruption within the Outlook folder in the users profile.

    C:\Documents and Settings\<your troubled users /:< \Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

    backup that folder.

    Delete the .dat file and restart Outlook and let's see if anything changes.

  • Got the same issue on a Citrix XenApp! Outlook and CRM client are installed, user mail account initialized but configuration wizard won't work.

    No idea?
