  • I am creating a rule that will send out an email notification when a CRM Case record is created. I want to be able to show the notes that were entered onto the case record as a valid data field value.

    I cannot figure out how to show the notes in the email notification.

  • You need to write a custom workflow activitiy.

    in the CWA your code needs to:
    1. Retrieve the incidentid from the outputparameters collection.
    2. Query the annotation (notes) using queryexpression where annotation.objectid eq incidentid
    3. render the results as a CrmOutput parameter and add that to your email notification using the workflow designer.
