Tks again for the reply. Sorry for the novice questions I'm a Live Mesh newbie. How do you make a "Local Folder" and "Mesh Folder"?
well, at the moment, you may not be able to since there is aparently some widespread service problem with Live Mesh.
A "local" folder means it is a folder on your computer that you see in Windows Explorer represented by a yellow folder icon. If, after installing Live Mesh, you right click that folder and select "Add to Mesh" it will be added to your Live Mesh and will sync with the Live Desktop at
www.mesh.com and other devices in your Mesh (PCs that have the client installed and signed in with the same liveID). You can optionally choose to not sync with the Live Desktop and if you have multiple machines, you can choose to not sync a folder with one or more of them.
If you simply create a folder on the Live Desktop at
www.mesh.com and do not install the client software, you are not synchronizing. If you do that and have the client installed and you also let that folder sync to your PC (the folder on your PC desktop is offered by Live Mesh as light blue and when you click it, you can select the sync options) it is now mesh folder and anything you put into that folder on your PC will sync to the Live Desktop copy of the folder. If you place something in that folder on the Live Desktop when using another PC, it will sync to your PC that has that folder defined as a Mesh folder.
