WHS Temperature Settings - Fahrenheit vs Celsius RRS feed

  • Question

  • Got a HPEX475 with WHS preloaded - all is working great, but the Hardware Status icon (may be unique to the HP Media Smart) by default reads Celsius instead of Fahrenheit.  THe country settings in the general tab is set to US - ENglish.  Is it possible to change this to Fahrenheit?

  • It's not possible to switch to Fahrenheit. I'm not sure why you would want to, though; manufacturer's specifications are almost always given in Celsius.

  • Ken,
One reason is that Americans by default think in terms of Fahrenheit.  :)

If it was presented in 'F', I could easily relate it to room temp and understand if it is running hot.

  • I'll say it again: the manufacturer's specifications for your components are almost certainly given in degress Celsius. If Fahrenheit is given at all (and it's usually not) it's secondary.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
