HomeServerConsoleTab.Sharing.dll blocking my Home Server Console from starting RRS feed

  • Question

  • I had a non system hard drive fail.  Lost backups and parts of some of the duplicate folders.

The problem is now the Home Server Console is blocked from starting and states that HomeServerConsoleTab.Sharing.dll is the item blocking.  If I select to load the Console without those features, the feature for the folders and folder sharing is not available in the Console.  I can select the user accounts and the folders are showen there.  How can I fix this problem?  The file HomeServerConsoleTab.Sharing.dll is in the "C\Programs\Home Server" folder.

    Hi

Please uninstall the beta version of Power Pack 1 and run automatic updates to install Power Pack 1 RTW.

    Thank you

  • Exactly what is that called in the "Add or Remove Programs".  I don't specfically see a power pack entry.

    Thanks for the help

At the top of the Add/Remove programs screen, there should be a "show updates" check box. Please make sure that is checked.

Once that is checked, you should see "Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 (KB 944289)"

    Thank you
