  • Sorry to see your plight.  Purchase a full license copy of Windows 7 or restore the original Vista or XP and then purchase an upgrade license copy of Windows 7.  You cannot upgrade an invalid license. 

    If you purchase a full license copy of Windows 7 Ultimate you can change the product key using the Change Product Key link on the System Properties page and avoid having to reinstall anything if the system checks out as otherwise free of problems (like malware).
