  • Have you tried activating by phone? That is the first step. If it will not activate then let us know and Darin will follow up on Monday and advise you. I wouldn't do anything right now other than attempting to activate by phone.

I have checked the key and it shows as Genuine. However, it also shows over 50 activation attempts. Lucky, all the activation attempts were done from the same Hardware ID (meaning all from the same PC) so the key doesn't appear to be leaked or being abused.

    I recommend activating by Phone.

  • Try activating by phone, let us know if it works.

    Activate by phone

    1. Type "slui 4" in the start menu search box, hit enter

    2. Select country or region

    3. Dial the number, DO NOT select any menu options, just wait and a person will pick up.

    4. activate by phone.

Just to add to what Carl said....

Your eMachines should have come with the OS pre-installed -- as far as I know it's not possible to buy an eMachine without Windows.
Your machine should have at least one, and possibly two, COA stickers on the case - one for Windows 7, and one for (probably) Vista.
The one for Windows 7 should match what you can see in the report above.
The one for Vista will be different.
If neither are present, then your Vendor is in breach of his contract.
If only the Vista one is present, then he probably sold you a counterfeit.
If only the Win7 one is present but the Key doesn't agree with the one you are using, he conned you into purchasing an unnecessary license for Windows.

  • My emachine does not have a COA sticker on the case. the Only sticker i see here is the manufacturer's sticker and the stikcer for the warranty of the retailer store. That is why the retailer store said I have to buy the Microsoft win7 starter cd. So should i go back to the retailer store??It has been 1 yr from the time i have purchase everything. I purchased it last Feb 24, 2010. Im currently located in the Philippines.

This sounds as if you're going to be out of luck - the Philippines are well-known for the amount of fake software, and it's likely that either the vendor will deny all knowledge, or will say that it's your fault.
Try Carl's solution anyhow - it may work.
If not, then you will need to follow the advice that the operator gives you.
