Remote Desktop Client - Do I need to be connected to WiFi?

    Question

  • I just installed RD Client on my iPh 5s running iOS 8.1.3. I connected to my desktop PC running W7. I notice it works great when I am on the WiFi connection from my network where the PC is located. When I try from LTE or 4G, nothing. Haven't yet had a chance to try it from a remote WiFi but I assume that will work fine? Does this mean I need to be connected to a network on my iPh in order to use this app?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Hello,

The Windows Desktop Perfmon and Diagnostic tools forum is to discuss performance monitor (perfmon), resource monitor (resmon), and task manager, focusing on HOW-TO, Errors/Problems, and usage scenarios.

As the question is off topic here, I am moving it to the Where is the Forum... forum.

  • Hello,

I'd ask in the Windows forum on Microsoft Community.

As the Microsoft Community is on a different platform, we cannot move the question for you.

Once there, click on Participate near the top of the screen, and select 'Ask a Question' or 'Start a Discussion':
