I would greatly appreciate help, I know for a fact my copy is genuine and I really do NOT want to have to do another format and reinstall.  :(

  • The computer is a Systemax SYX SG-1601.

When I did a restart and the window popped up for validation, I entered the key code from the top of the tower and now everything is working fine.

Windows came installed on the computer and all the usual backup and restoration media came in the package.

  • In addition, I did a system restore after I started getting the messages, and I am still getting them after the restore finished and the machine rebooted.

    That's irrelevant, Carey - it's a retail motherboard.

  • Your computer is using an OEM_SLP Key, yet has a Retail motherboard - this automatically makes the current installation non-valid.

Wheredid you acquire the copy of Windows from? What did it claim to be?

(now that I've calmed down a bit)

Please explain that statement- because it sounds incredibly arrogant to me.

I'm quite prepared to believe that there was a reason behind the question - would you mind explaining it to us poor mortals?

Please post a new MGADiag report, so that we can make sure that your installation isn't going to cause more problems.
