clr, System.Windows.Forms, System.Drawing locations RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

    Apologize for this rather elementary request for help.

    Just started using Visual Studio Community (Windows 10 Pro 64 bit).

    Trying to create a project 'IronPython Windows Forms Application'.

    The following are flagged as unresolved imports in the boilerplate code:

    import clr

    clr.AddReference('System.Drawing')
    clr.AddReference('System.Windows.Forms')
    from System.Drawing import *
    from System.Windows.Forms import *

    What statements are needed to resolve the imports or how can the editor be configured to locate these files to make them available?

    Thanks...

    John S.

  • Hi johnes1,

    Thank you for posting here.

    According to your description, your issue is more related to IronPython. Therefore, it will be more appropriate to ask your question in IronPython forum.

    The CLR Forum discuss and ask questions about .NET Framework Base Classes (BCL) such as Collections, I/O, Regigistry, Globalization, Reflection. Also discuss all the other Microsoft libraries that are built on or extend the .NET Framework.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best Regards,
