Home Use Program - Office Professional 2003 - invalid user key

Question
-
I bought Office Professional Edition 2003 several years ago through the home use program. I never had a problem until my hard drive completely crashed a few weeks ago. Having replaced my hard drive I went to re-install office; I still have the original CD and product key sticker. But, it keeps saying my key is invalid. I have been extraordinarily careful (I know about the B's and the 8's looking alike) but the key will not work on my new drive.
Is there any reason that it would not allow me to reinstall on my new drive? Is there some way that the key could have expired?
Thanks for any advice...
