Project SDK (2013) still work in ProjectOnline? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, its been a while since i did a program using Project SDK 2013 to work with ProjectOnline with C#. It always worked for me, but now i trying to do a new program that simple query the projects ob the pwa url. However when i execute the code i get the error 400 (Bad request)

    Since there is no specific SDK to ProjectOnline i always used this one and it worked, but now i am getting this error. Someone nows if this sdk still working with ProjectOnline? I that's so, what i am missing?

    i added the following dlls:

    Microsoft.SharePoint.Client (16.0)

    Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.Runtime (16.0)

                ProjectContext projectContext = new ProjectContext(pwaUrl);
                SecureString secureString = new SecureString();
                foreach (var i in "P@ssw0rd")
                Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.SharePointOnlineCredentials spo = new Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.SharePointOnlineCredentials(user, secureString);
                projectContext.Credentials = spo;
                //ProjectCollection projetos = projectContext.Projects;
                catch (Exception e)
                    var variable= e.Message;

  • Hello,

    GitHub code samples have replaced the SDK: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/project

  • The SDK was developed sometime before GitHub became popular.  You will need to find the dependencies and load manually.

  • I did make work. I just created another project in visual studio using .Net Framework 4.7.2

    The project before that was using .Net Core 2.1

    I dont know why this is happening. The project is created by a visual studio template and it uses the .Net Core not the Net Framework.

    Any sugestions? Sorry if i making silly questions.
