Hi,
Please find the article (http://msdyncrm.blogspot.com/2011/02/microsoft-dynamics-crm-vs-microsoft.html) contents below:
Microsoft Dynamics CRM vs Microsoft Dynamics AX (CRM)
Both products are market leaders and AX does an excellent job at managing Customer relationships. But Microsoft Dynamics CRM provides the following benefits over AX CRM:
- Dynamics CRM has a more intuitive user interface within MS Outlook
- Dynamics CRM has much tighter integration with MS Outlook for synchronisation of Appointments, Emails, Contacts and Tasks
- Dynamics CRM takes advantage of native Outlook capabilities, such as Conditional Formatting, Grouping and the Outlook Reading Pane
- Dynamics CRM is also available in a browser or any mobile device (iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Android)
- Dynamics CRM is available offline using Outlook
- Dynamics CRM has integrated Dashboard capabilities with drill downs
- Dynamics CRM has integrated Document management capabilities with SharePoint
- Dynamics CRM includes a powerful but intuitive XRM framework with point-and-click customisation tools
- Dynamics CRM includes powerful email marketing and campaign management
- Dynamics CRM includes accelerators for Customer and Partner Portals
- Dynamics CRM is available as cloud based subscription (£22.75 per user, per month)
- Dynamics CRM includes a Customer Service (Query / Complaint management) module and knowledge base
- Dynamics CRM includes accelerators for Social Networking integration (Facebook, Twitter)
- Dynamics CRM is easier to integrate with 3rd party applications
- Dynamics CRM benefits from a larger community of ISVs for additional capabilities and CRM modules
- Dynamics CRM is more suitable for a wider range of verticals
- Dynamics CRM is more suitable for small and mid-market customers
- Dynamics CRM software licenses are approximately 3 times cheaper than AX

Microsoft is committed to Dynamics CRM as their main CRM platform. They plans to retire the courseware on this also so I am thinking this solution won't be supported for long.

Hi,
You may also reffer to the following blog post for AX CRM Versus Dynamics CRM Comparison details: http://msdyncrm.blogspot.com/2011/02/microsoft-dynamics-crm-vs-microsoft.html
Conclusively it depends if the customer is looking for a Customer Service Solution, Call Center Integrated Solution (Dynamics CRM is integratable with most of IP Phones/IVR i.e. Avaya, Genesis etc) with Sales and Marketing module then would preffer Microsoft Dynamics CRM else Microsof Dynamics AX CRM. It also depend upon the number of CRM required users, if more then 10 then would preffer Dynamics CRM because AX user per license is almost three times higher then Dynamics CRM but AX Users are concurent users and CRM users are named.
Also would preffer Dynamics CRM (regardless whether Dynamics AX MorhpX customization is easier) if there is lot of developments and integrations are required with other system and also with Dynamics AX Advance Management customer will recieve the CRM server license free of cost.

Hi, Javeed. THank you for your reply, but I cannot open the article you have posted.
Can you please give me a title?
Jamie, also thank you for your response.
But I am not asking about the courseware, but the functionality itself.
Best regards
