Accessing a stolen laptops backups RRS feed

    I had a situation a while back where a laptop was stolen.  If I had been using WHS would I have been able to access the backups for this laptop without the original laptop, i.e. recover files onto a different machine?  I have only seen screenshots etc and all the recovery seems to be driven from the original machine.

    You shouldn't need to run a restore from the machine that was originally backed up. I have just opened backups of other machines on my main machine no problem. If you do run into problems, I would suggest asking here and filing a bug report on the issue.
