I assume that you are on a dial-up connection, and that would mean that sometimes it can take a fair amount of time to update.

How in the world do you get the update to work when it tell you too and the little circle is red? It runs me in circles. It is green now but it took about 3 hrs and I dont know how it did it. A virus could attack in that amount of time. This is becoming a joke when it says to clik on update an nothing happens.

How does one contact you? You have no phone number or email address. When I go to help, it says some of it is Live but it is not. A live turned on computer maybe but not a live person.

When you click on "Check for udpates" in OneCare, there is no indication of activity, unfortunately, but the fact is it is supposed to happen in the background without intervention from you.
Even though OneCare is red and complaining about a required update, your PC is still protected.

You are posting to a community forum, Charles. This means users helping users.
When you click Help, you are going to "live" help in that it is online and kept fairly up to date compared to help text that would be stored on your PC. In the FAQ, it explains how to get to technical support via phone, chat, or email if you are a subscriber or email if a trial user.
