Can you set a range of IP addresses for a SIP peer? RRS feed

  • Question

  • When setting up SIP peers is there anyway to setup a range of IP addresses?

I'm trying to help someone whose provider tells him that the calls could come from numerous subnets in their system. He needs a way to trust numerous addresses (i.e. subnets).

  • Unfortunately not, the address for a SipPeer has to be a hostname.  You'll need to use some form of proxy such that Speech Server sees the proxy as a single SipPeer .

  • Thanks Anthony.

I was afraid of that. Can you recommend a proxy?

  • Sorry, no, I can't make any recommendations.  Some proxies have been mentioned in these & gotspeech forums in the past.
