  missing or corrupt <windows root>\system32\hal.dll

   

  I am having the same issue as everyone else, the only problem is that I need to be sure before I put in the Reinstallation CD that I somehow get those precious memories off my hard rive.

  Can someone please tell me how to get those pictures off my hard rive before I place the Reinstallation CD into my computer.
