Vista Fatal Error RRS feed

  • Question

I was simply sitting  down enjoying a nice peaceful computer game on my two year old Compaq Presario V3000, with Windows Vista Basic, when all of the sudden my computer shut off, no warning, no explanation, nothing. So I reboot my precious laptop and Vista gives me an 0x00000000 error or something like that, complete with a Blue Screen Of Death. Unfortunately this lovely screen even mentions a Fatal System Error, and that the startup program has been terminated. I have tried everything on my system short of a full System Recovery, does anyone have any tips on fixing this, because I really can't afford to lose all my documents and files.
