off topic - WD with Retrospect 6.5 RRS feed

    I have a WD backup hard disc with Retrospect 6.5. the issue is my computer knows when it is connected on the F:\drive (USB port), but the program will not see the F: drive.

     

    I've check out device manager and it to does not see the F:\drive connection, yet my tool menu shows it's connected. When I walked through one prcoess of checking it out the program ask me to initialzie the external hard drive. I did not want to do that for fear of losing the data on the hard drive.

     

    Any ideas as to how I can get at the data on the hard drive?
