I had a system crash and needed to reformat the hard drive and start afresh. I have reloaded One Care (although it has a different product ID than before) . I have my backup files for this desktop on my wireless laptop but One care does not even see the file. Trust me I have set the path etc and can access the file to read it from desk top. I get the One Care message "OneCare could not find a backup device or network folder containing a backup to restore" yet it is clearly there
Configure One Care backup to use the same destination as the original backups, then perform a backup. When the backup completes you should be able to access and restore your original backups.
