Remove One Care Subscription RRS feed

  • If I have 3 computer in my one care subscription

     

    I am trashing one and want to replace it with another

     

    how do I go about  doing this

     

    any one had to do this ? cant seem to find it on the web, in the application or in the help files either

  • Sorry Gaklu, but if you've used all 3 of your licenses already and are now getting a 4th computer, you'll need to buy a new copy of Windows One Care.  Your 3 licenses are good for the original 3 computers that you signed-up with.  If one computer dies and you replace it with another, the new one (the 4th one) will require a new product key of it's own and you'll have 2 subscriptions left to use for a later date or your other computers.

    This is not correct, Elliot.

    You can transfer OneCare as many times as you wish, as long as you never have OneCare active and running on more than 3 PCs with the same subscription LiveID at the same time.

    Optionally, you can make one PC in your subscription "Circle" into a hub and select "remove this PC from my subscription" for the details of the PC you are retiring or that has died. Note that this is optional and you are still within your license terms if you do not do this.

  • I did battle to transfer my subscription

    It would not happen say i used up my licence and then one day "it just worked" maybe detected the other PC had not logged in for an update or something any way is now sorted

    will be movining to MS security essentials soon any way
