IE 9 Beta & Dynamics CRM 4.0 Feedback RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm not sure where to post this, but I wanted to give feedback to MSFT so here goes...

    Issues:

    1) Reports don't work for me in IE 9 Beta.  I just get a blank tab.  Do I need to install a different version of the Report Viewer or is that just the way it is until RTM?

    2) Bulk Edit throws an error.  It's on a form with an Onload Event:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Object doesn't support this property or method.

               http://myserver/_static/_forms/controls/table.dtm.htc

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

    3) Adding column to Advanced Find view throws a similiar error:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Object doesn't support this property or method.

                http//myserver/myorg/tools/vieweditor/viewManager.aspx?etc..

    I have Win7 32-bit and IE 9.0 Beta Version 9.0.7930.16406.

    thanks!

  • Nateone,

The best place to post this is here, my recommendation is to wait until Internet Explorer 9.0 is released. Internet Explorer 9 Beta can be uninstalled easily from the control panel.

    Thank you very much.

  • Microsoft are definitely aware that there are issues between CRM and IE9. They have stated CRM will be supported when the full version of IE9 is ireleased.

  • Jimmy,

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I just installed Rollup 13.

    Leon,

Thanks for your response.   I know that MSFT has stated that they are still working on fixing the bugs. I was just hoping to give them some feedback to assist them in their work!

Does anyone know of a better place to post bugs like this???

  • Yeah, I've already uninstalled it.   Hopefully the next Rollup fixes these issues.  Thanks.

  • Ok, I installed Rollup 15 the other day, and now Bulk Edit and Running Reports work fine.

But trying to add a column to an Advanced Find View still generates this error:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Object doesn't support this property or method.

    I'm running Dynamics CRM 4.0, RU 15, Win 7, IE 9 Beta 9.0.7930.16406 256-bit.

  • Ok, next update: I installed the IE 9.0 Release Candidate just now, and all the bugs mentioned above seem to be fixed!  Note:  I have Update Rollup 15.
