Ok, hopefully that changes in a newer build its not very quick or user friendly to transfer 2Tb or more from a client computer.
Don't expect it to change. You can't just add a drive to the storage pool with data already on it to the server without it being formatted (that is true in both v1 and Vail). The only exception to that is the new "non-default" storage pool in Vail (where you can move an entire storage pool from one Vail installation to another one). However, MS has already said that they may force a "fresh" storage pool when Vail goes RTM (meaning you won't be able to move a Vail beta storage pool to RTM).the only place the drives show up is in "computer" I tried to share it as well but it didnt show up on a client, so if a person wants to add files from a previous WHS1 build you have to transfer the files off to an external then to Vail.
If you have both servers running simultaneously, you could just copy from one server to the other.
I will keep testing I really like it so far good work guys.

The simple answer here is Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options > Show Hidden Files and Folders
Now everything is showing up

You can't do it in the Dashboard, if that's what you're asking.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)Sunday, May 16, 2010 9:52 PMModerator -

You should connect that drive to a client and copy the files to the server's shares through the network. Also, although unsupported, you could copy the files from the server desktop as well.- Proposed as answer by Jonas Svensson -FST- Tuesday, May 18, 2010 12:16 AM
