Product Key Cannot Be Validated RRS feed

  • I registered and recieved a product key, good for 10 installs. I start the install and it gives me an error saying "Your product key cannot be validated. Review your product key and make sure that you have entered it correctly". I have tried several times, re-entering it, magnifying it to make sure that I have the correct letters and number and it won't validate. I tried it both ways, go online and get the latest updates and do not get the lastest updates updates, same thing.  I did try what was suggested recently about installing the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications.

  • Please follow this diagnostic troubleshooting procedure:

    1. Download and run the MGA Diagnostic Tool:   http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012    

    2. After running the MGA Diagnostic Tool, click
        on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy".

    3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the
        "WGA Validation Problems" forum and paste the
        results of the WGA Diagnostic Data in a detailed post.

    4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and
        recommend an appropriate solution.
