"C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3" Folder's role in how the spooler service works RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to copy all the dlls related to a printer driver properly from my installer application to the spooler directory. Using GetModuleFilename function, it returns me "C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\" function. But when I ran the installer, after probably AddPrinterDriver function being called, my printer driver files get copied into the folder that was created probably during Windows installation, as shown in the subject. However, I'm trying to copy the extra dll files into the folder "C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3". Which forum/mailing list would be the most appropriate for this question?
