Sync CRM 2011 Contacts into my Outlook Contacts RRS feed

  • Question

  • I created a contact in Outlook Contacts. Set its parent to an Account in CRM. The contact record was created in CRM no problem. I deleted the contact in my o Outlook. I am still the owner of the active Contact in CRM and my sync filters are set to sync my active contacts. I’ve also made changes in the Contact record in CRM and it still does not create it in Outlook.  Shouldn't the contact be created in Outlook automatically?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim

  • The fastest "trick" is to create a new contact, track this and then merge both of the contacts in CRM. Then you´ll have your contact back in outlook.

  • Carsten,

Is there a system or User setting to allow the recreation of the Outlook Contact to occur?  I’ve tested it for the past hour and I cannot get the CRM Contact record to be created in my Outlook Contacts, no matter how much data is updated in the CRM Contact record, how many times I restart Outlook, or 'Sync with CRM'.

    Thanks,

    Jim
