  • MGA Diagnostic Report is Required:

To properly analyze, diagnose and solve problems with Windows Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012)

    Once downloaded, run the tool.

Click on the Continue button, after a short time, the Continue button will change to a Copy button.

Click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either Right-click or Paste, or CTRL+V) into your post.

  • The installed Product Key is one which is only valid where the machine was pre-installed at the factory by the manufacturer. Your motherboard is a retail one, and cannot support such a key.

You need to reformat and reinstall using genuine media and Key

  • Solved it. Remembered where I put the install disc. With it was the key. Entered key manually and everything was copacetic. The crazy thing is the key Win7 was showing was an OEM key but the disk had a retail key.
