Office Genuine Advantage RRS feed

  • Question

  • First, I don't know how Genuine Advantage came to be automatically executed on my computer.  I do not recall EVER agreeing to download and implementation of this code.  Now the information I've found at your site says there is NOTHING I can do to suppress or eliminate it.

Second, and of immediate moment:  somewhat randomly, at invocation of Office 2002 components, I get the "Understand your validation results" message.  However, when I click, in succession, "Help" then "Activate (product name)" I'm told the product is already activated.

I'm not interested in newer versions, the programs I have work fine for my needs.  How do I get rid of these irritating messages?  (Sarcasm) Convert to Apple computer and software?

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
