Removing an OCS pool RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am having trouble removing an OCS pool from my test environment.

I previously had OCS Public Beta installed on a VM which has been blown away (deleted). I am now installing the RTM version of OCS 2007 and when I attempt to install using the same SQL backend it tells me there is another pool already using this server.... Sounds fair...

I figured that LCSCMD.exe would be able to assist me in manually removing the pool. When I attempted this it told me there were still servers in the pool, so I then attempted to remove the only server I had in the pool. I have attempted the following and failed:

    lcscmd /server:acmeocs1.acme.org /action: deactivate /role:EE /Force:True

    [...]
ERROR (0xC3EC782E): Deactivation didn't succeed completely. Some objects may have to be manually removed.

    lcscmd /forest /action:removepool /poolname:acmeocspool

    [...]
ERROR (0xC3EC7817): There are still servers associated with the pool when attempting to remove pool.

I would really appreciate any help you can give.
