Please contact support once again and work with them to resolve the problem. When you contact them, refer to the previous support case to continue troubleshooting with them.
Alternatively, you can manually extract the files from the backup .zip files on the external drive using WinZip or another 3rd party compression/zip program. Large files that were split by the OneCare backup will need to be rejoined using this utility:

Once the split files have been extracted, they will need to be renamed to have extensions of .001, .002. .003 etc. before hjsplit will rejoin them.
