MCC Creditation was added, then removed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I was awarded an MCC a few days back, and it appeared in my MSDN profile.  I'm rather proud of this, and so spend a lot of time in the forums, but having just logged back in, its gone.  I've checked my mail and it doesn't appear to have been revoked.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?  I'd like to have it back on my profile, so I can add it to my list of accomplishments.  I'll keep up my efforts on the forums regardless, but it would be nice to keep this award.

    Thanks
    Steve

  • I don't think we expect this affiliation to show up in forums until next month. I'll check with the profile team on whether it should be in profile before then and if so, if there is some problem with it.

  • Just to add that I had it on my profile, and it has also gone.

I noticed it is still on some users, but i have found others where it is gone as well.

  • Hi,

Same here. I also got this award two days back and now its gone from my profile. I am very happy for this privilege but was scared when i did not see this in my profile as i thought that Microsoft has revoked it. I immediately checked my mail account and thank god that I did not get any such mail. Can somebody tell us the reason?

    Regards

  • I saw that link couple of times. It still doesn't explain why I don't get any award for my contributions.

It does actually, the awards are on one of two criterion: -

    • Recognition by an MVP
    • Microsoft, via some processing logic, check our your activity over the last 12 months.
Looking at how active you are, you should have one almost certainly, assuming you're not an MVP yourself or an employee.

Failing that, might be worth hanging around a bit, this is still a new award.

  • MCC affiliation did actually go out on the profile on 2/17. During the roll out there were some issues that were resolved this morning.  For profile issues you can report those here:  http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/Profile/threads

MCC will not be in the forums user interface until the next release scheduled for 3/17.
