Xbox 360 Controller API for WPF RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am working on a WPF-based application that needs to interface with an Xbox 360 controller. Since XNA appears to be deprecated, what is Microsoft's officially supported mechanism for incorporating the controller in .NET? Ideally, I would like to not involve dependencies on 3rd-party software.

    Thanks,

    Warren

  • Hi,

For WPF, XNA is not out of date, XNA still as a good .NET analog to Microsoft's better known game development system: DirectX.

As far as I know, these is no new mechanism  to incorporating the Xbox 360 controller in .NET.

For UWP,  XNA is out of date, because in UWP you may not need XNA.

    Best Regards,

    Bob
