reappearing message about protected mode and "waol" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I mistakenly clicked a program I thought would help me access websites or email links easier. (I'm very untech.) Now I get this message whenever I open IE. It is from
IE Security and says: A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer. This program will open outside of protected mode IE's protected mode helps protect your compouter. If you don't trust website, don't open this program. Name: waol. Publisher: AOL LLC. Allow or Do not allow." I click do not allow and the message reappears 3 more times before it disappears.
What does this mean: Should I allow or not allow? How do I stop the message from appearing all the time?
Thank you for your anticipated help.
