Backup out of the network RRS feed

  • Good morning,

    Is there anyway to backup a computer that is not connected to my network?

    I have my whs in my office I would like to backup a computer that is in a different town?

    is it possible, do I need a special software?

  • To do this you need to set up a VPN connection between the client and the network in which the server resides. There's multiple ways of doing this, and the best choice will depend on the way your office network is setup. When you're going to do this always make sure you run the first backup with the client in the office.

    without talking about VPN is there any software that could do that?

    That would be nice to have a program installed on the client (different location) that would backup directly to my server (in the office) via internet.

    Do you know any software that could do that?
