If you installed the OEM system builder copy of Windows yourself be aware that you out of compliance with the system builder license. You will need to install a valid, licensed copy of MS office or uninstall it.
Having said that, this is Carl Stephen's standard advice for error 46: (from another thread)
I would suspect a possible malware or file corruption issue. I suggest you scan with malwarebytes or a similar, trusted antimalware program, update your antivirus and scan for viruses then proceed to the instructions below.
Ensure that the Software Protection service is running and set to automatic, delayed start.
SFC/system restore
type cmd in the search box of the start menu, right click on the icon that appears and typesfc /scannow without the qoutes and press enter, allow SFC to run, reboot when directed. If you get any error messages write them down exactly as they appear. After rebooting go to www.microsoft.com/genuine and attempt to validate.
If that does not work then typesystem restore in the search box, click on the resulting program and follow the wizards prompts to restore to a previous point prior to the non-genuine status.
If that does not work then start a no cost wga tech support incident at the following linkhttp://support.microsoft.com/gp/contactwga

error. Unfortunately, there is not much of a record of success with this error in these forums, other than anything produced by a chkdsk and/or sfc.
