GPS trace in 2013? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I generated a few GPS trails with, I think, ST 2010. But I cannot erase them in 2011.

I hope 2013 will allow me to erase them. All I have been able to do to eliminate old traces, so far, is to open a new file in 2011 and thereby lose all my established pushpins, in addition to eliminating the old GPS tails.

BTW, will ST be available for android smartphones?

  • Hi Cal-Mvl,

The ability to select-and-delete GPS trails disappeared in version 2010, when the import/export GPX, and many other features were introduced. I suspect, the introduction of some of the new functionality had something to do with the disappearance of the ability for us to remove the breadcrumbs.

When you open a new map file, you could copy/paste your pushpin sets from the old map to the new map. To do that, open Legend & Overview pane, right-click the desired pushpin set, select copy, then go to the new map, and paste it there using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V.
