  • Unable to download templates etc + "Get Genuin Office" icon in tray + Occasional "not valid" popups while using Word 2007.

        Thank you for visiting the Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) program forum. Currently it appears you have two versions of Microsoft Office installed. Office XP Professional is indicating a blocked volume licensing key as shown:

        I understand that in most cases, customers have no idea their copies of MS Office Suites were not legitimately provided. This is because some resellers try to cut costs by providing unauthorized copies, but still charge the customer for a copy of Windows and MS Office Suite.  This may not have happened in your case, but it does happen.  Also, we appreciate your concern that you’ve been using your copy of Windows for a long time. People often wonder, how is it that all of a sudden my copy turns out to be counterfeit.  This is because Microsoft is continually investigating piracy reports, and identifying Product Keys that are being used improperly.  It is possible for a Product Key to be used over a course of time, which may or may not be your case, but is then found to be a source of counterfeit software and therefore blocked from validating.

    I'm having the same problem with my Office Ultimate 2007 (student version). It's downloaded & Digital River have confirmed the product key is correct but it won't accept it and it's been tried many times.

    I'm wondering if the downloads and keys do not correlate as a previous thread from August last year implies this is the problem.

    I just keep getting redirected to the Micosoft site and asked to pay 49 dollars to find out what the problem is......I have emailed Digital River & asked for either a refund ot for the CD rom to be sent out as the product does not work.

    Aggghhhh!

  • Thanks for replying to my query.

    Your suggestion that the line: "Microsoft Office XP Professional - 114 Blocked VLK 2" indicated the problem was correct. I removed the old Office Xp from my machine, the initial effect was that Office 2007 no longer worked as 'dvdcw20.dll' was missing. I then removed Office 2007, and did a fresh install. Office 2007 now works fine and has validated OK.
