fix it troubleshooting cannot continue because an error occurred [code 800702E4]
1) I am suddenly no longer able to use the Microsoft Fix It utility online or from
http://fixitcenter.support.microsoft.com/Portal/ because I get the error listed in the title.
2) (I am also unable to install the BETA Microsoft Fix it program that has solutions customized for my Windows XP Home PC (http://fixitcenter.support.microsoft.com/Portal/).
I was able to do this and use it in the recent past (it stopped working today so I uninstalled it) but I cannot do it today because it will not install. I cannot do a system restore because I just did one today with the oldest restore point I have which was
only 2 days ago.)
I will be grateful for any help you may provide.
