  My computer recently stopped showing a little bar at the bottom of the screen whenever I adjust the volume. 

  It's a tad nondescript, but every time I would turn the volume up or down on my laptop, a little black bar would show up at the bottom of my screen showing the volume levels. Now, for some reason, it's stopped.

   

  Whatever forum you all think a question like this belongs in, please let me know.
