Error C0000218 led to invalidation error 0x80070426

Question

I recievied a BSOD with error code C0000218 upon booting my computer, the reccomended fix I found online was to run windows recovery install, which I did. This fixed the issue, however upon rebooting my computer kindly informed me that I was a victim of fraud and that my completely genuine copy of windows Vista Buisiness had failed to pass the Genuine Validation. The validation site is giving me code 0x80070426 after searching this forum on that code, I have attempted to restart the validation service (running "net start slsvc" from an elevated command prompt and recieved the message "The Software Licensing service is starting. The Software Licensing service was started successfully.") I determined that I don't have any of the software listed as being incompatible installed. I have run disk cleanup, and I have rebooted several times.
Please tell me how to re-validate my copy of windows.

Even though you appeared to have restarted the Software Licensing Service, the error code [0x80070426] is directly related to the Software Licensing Service being stopped. At this point, I suggest creating a (No Charge) WGA Service Request at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52029 to further troubleshoot the issue.
I am very sorry I couldn't be more help, but I do request that after you create your Service Request, that you post the Confermation Number in this thread, so I may monitor the issue.

I'm at a loss, your Diagnostic looks good, you followed the "net start slsvc" processes correctly and successfully, you do not appear to have any incompatable programs installed and your product key is Genuine.
Would you (one last time, just for confirmation) go to http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/ and click the "Validate Windows" button. If this does not resolve the problem, reboot and then describe (in this post) the popup screen (if any) that first comes up when you login to Vista(include the title and as much text as possable).
Also, just to confirm that Vista is not asking you to Re-Activate for some reason. Non-activated Vista is technically not genuine till activated.

Ok for confirmation I went to the genuine site again, and it still shows as not genuine, with the same error code, 0x80070426
I rebooted and still can't validate, the pop-up doesn't show up imediately on reboot, it randomly shows up after the computer has been running for a while, and returns after a seamingly random time after i close it.
the title of the pop-up is "Optional update delivery is not working" and the text says:
"You may be a victim of software counterfeiting.
To use all Microsoft Windows features, such as all updates from Windows Update; get the latest update; and recieve product support, your copy of Microsoft Windows must be validated as genuine.
Go online and resolve now"

I haven't seen anything that seems to indicate that I need to Re-Activate, So unless the indicator to reactivate is really burried and hidden and subtle I don't think that's the problem.
