I have windows vista 32 sp2 IE 7 my wmp worked up until a few weeks ago RRS feed

    windows vista-32 sp-2 I have wmp 11 recently installed by ms tech.  I cannot rip a CD it starts the first song and about 70% through it stops and says ERROR for the rest of that song and all the rest on that CD.  I have used brand new CD's and it does the same thing.  the conf. # that the ms tech gave me is 1141188504 he took control mof my computer remotely and told me there was nothing else he could think of to help me, I also have a remote drive that is brand new and it will not even open.  I'm at a loss because i have ripped and burnded cd's on this computer before so I assume it's a microsoft problem but they don't know how to fix it, I hope you can help me.  Thanks to anyone who helps.
