  • Try repairing net framework 1.1 ( Start>Control Panel>add/remove programs>change/remove. Select the repair option ). If the hotfix still does not install properly, uninstall net framework 1.1, then download and install from here - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en

  • Unable to repair (no option), attempted removal without success - can't find netfx.msi.  I tried installing from link above which failed.

  • Jim,

I appreciate your help and patience.

Unregister & reregister windows installer did not help.

Unable to manually remove - no cached Windows Installer file that has the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 RTL x86 enu comment.

I'm down to repairing .NET Framework 1.1 by using the command prompt.  I have found Dotnetfx.exe file dated Jun 06, I assume this is the file to use, only other file with this name is one downloaded this past weekend.  I'll attempt this on my next day off.

    Thanks
